A mass of bodies — Gluttony Live

2027-2028 · In development

Live Performance

Live Electronic AV Performance

A live electronic audiovisual performance combining sung voice, piano, guitar soundscapes, pre-recorded electronic material, immersive sound diffusion and projected film.

We have applied the project's core principle — bypassing logic to evoke raw emotion — through music, film and virtual reality. Now we are bringing it to live performance.

The space

Gluttony Live is intended for intimate small to medium-sized spaces, ideally an art gallery or a multimedia-equipped room. Visitors being physically mixed with performers, and immersed in video and audio, is an important part of the experience.

The performers

Live performers — including singer ECHLO on voice, piano, and electric guitar soundscape washes — form the core of the experience. These live elements are combined with pre-recorded electronic and orchestral material, live reverb, and projected visuals aligned to the performance. The format is presented on stage or within an immersive sound-room setting, with performers situated in relation to the audience.

The soundscape

The main soundscape is built from pre-recorded electronic and orchestral material combined with live vocals, piano, guitar soundscapes and live reverb. Localized sounds are only audible in certain places, normally related to an interactive element.

Compared to vision, sound provides a fully immersive experience and can be perceived from all directions simultaneously.

Status

Gluttony is presented as a complete stand-alone live audiovisual performance suitable for stage or immersive sound-room contexts. The live format functions independently and is fully performable in its current form. While the project also exists in other formats — including film, immersive audio and VR — these are autonomous works and are not required for the live presentation.

The broader Gluttony project has received external support and commissioning interest within the contemporary music and opera fields.
