Short Film
A dreamlike world where storytelling unfolds without words.
Dance, music and striking visuals bypass logic, evoking raw emotions through pure sensory experience. As a sin of overindulgence, gluttony reflects a deeper emptiness — an insatiable attempt to fill a void left by an undefined meaning and purpose.
The film follows an unnamed protagonist as she confronts the many consequences of her own gluttony, whether for bodily pleasures or social status. Poetry, orchestral music and expressive movement intertwine with an opulent, surrealist world inhabited by peculiar characters. Instead of following a conventional narrative, choreography and world-building suggest meaning through movement and atmosphere, allowing the audience to interpret the story in their own way.
A sensory experience beyond words
Gluttony tells its story without spoken words, using music, dance and visuals to evoke raw emotion. By engaging the senses on a visceral level, it challenges viewers to reflect on the self-destructive impact of excess — both personal and societal.
Expression through movement and music
At the heart of the film is human motion as expression. A real-world dancer's choreography conveys emotion in a way words cannot. The symphonic orchestra score shapes the rhythm of the world and the protagonist's transformation. Dance, music and surreal visuals create a language that is felt rather than explained.
Blending human performance with technology
The film's distinctive aesthetic is the result of an innovative combination of motion capture, 3D animation, CGI and AI-assisted finishing techniques.
AI serves not as a generator, but as a controlled layer of refinement — applied under human direction to enhance textures, details and overall mood, ensuring a style that is both unique and deeply human.
Every element, even AI post-processing, is shaped by human input and performance, ensuring technology serves the artistic vision rather than dictating it. The result is a unique, immersive aesthetic that reinforces the film's themes of indulgence, transformation, and the tension between beauty and decay.
